Washcloth with Pocket




Skill : Easy

Materials :
Hook : H ( to make smaller or larger change your hook size)
Cotton Yarn - I used I love This Cotton by Hobby Lobby
Stitches :
chain (ch)
Slip Stitch (sl st)
Single Crochet (sc)
Double Crochet ( dc)

Ch1 at the end of each row, is a turning ch, and does not count as a st.


Square Cloth:
R : 1 - Ch 19, 1 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook, * 1 sc in the next ch, 1 dc in the next ch, repeat from * across row, ch 1, turn.
R : 2 - * 1 dc in the 1st st, 1 sc in the next st ( dc in the scs, sc in the dcs for pattern)
repeat from * across row, ch1, turn.
R : 3 - * 1 sc in the 1st st, 1 dc in the next st, Repeat from * across row, ch1, turn.
R : 4 -20 - Repeat R : 2 & 3, alternating rows.
Trim: sc evenly around all four sides of the cloth, stitching 3 scs each corner. do not tie off.
At the last corner ch 15, join to the next st, forming a loop, tie off, weave in ends.

Corner Pocket:

R : 1 - Ch 3, 3 dc in the 2nd ch from the hook, ch 1 turn
R : 2 - 1sc & 1 dc in the first st, 1 sc in the next st, 1dc & 1 sc in the last st, ch1, turn
R : 3 - 1 dc & 1 sc, in the first st, 1 dc in the next st, 1 sc, in the next st, 1 dc in the next st, 1 sc & 1 dc in the last st, ch1, turn
R : 4 - Follow previous pattern of dc, sc across row, ch1, turn
R : 5 - 1dc & 1 sc in the first st, dc, sc, dc, sc, dc across row, 1 sc & 1 dc in the last st, ch1, turn
R : 6 - Repeat R : 4
R : 7 - 1 sc in each st across, 1 sc in the corner, sc across the next row, 2 sc in the corner, sc across row, 2 sc in the last corner, do not tie off
Line up the triangle to the opposite corner from the loop, sl st across the 2 sides of the triangle sewing the triangle to the washcloth, tie off, weave in ends.
